2011 Cadillac CTS Review

2011 Cadillac CTS Review

2011 Cadillac CTS reflects push society to become more competitive with the dominant models of foreign producers. Today, heavy bloated March yachts along the interstate in the past, when CTS is much neater and more compact than the previous Cadillac. Innovative styling and performance improvement are essential for the control of the company in a new direction.

There are a lot of the new line-up for CTS, but this is mainly related to the latest coupe version, which is covered in a review aside, it's like extra-spicy CTS-V model. In the current 2011 CTS sedan remains relatively unchanged from the previous model.

Back for the 2011 CTS sedan is the same decision engine - 270 horsepower 3.0-liter V6 and 3.6-liter makes 306 hp. A selection of suspensions is still available, with varying degrees of sporty driving dynamics. Unfortunately, the same problems remain, such as a hard driving position, poor rear visibility and abused (with sport suspension). We are also a little concerned about the reliability of the CTS, 2008 as long-term test vehicles had been plagued by inconsistent CTS build quality and some electronic gremlins.

2011 Cadillac CTS is definitely a step in the right direction, but it is still lagging behind the likes of the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, Infiniti G37 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class quality and handling. We are also very passionate about the Hyundai Genesis, because it offers the same level of luxury with a price tag significantly lower. CTS should be considered, but it is recommended to control the race before the final decision.

Propulsion and Performance
2011 Cadillac CTS buyers can choose between two V6 engines. The base 3.0-liter V6 produces 270 horsepower and 223 lb-ft of torque and achieves an EPA estimated 18 mpg and 22 mpg highway mpg city/27 combined. The 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 306 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque and earnings forecasts of 18/27/21 mpg.

The base 3.0 and the luxury models feature a standard six-speed manual transmission available with an optional six-speed automatic. The automatic transmission is standard for all other models, but the manual is also available with the 3.6 liter engine. Rear-wheel drive is standard with optional all-wheel drive models with automatic transmission.

In performance tests, run the V6 3.6 with an automatic rear-wheel drive CTS sedan from zero to 60 km / h in 6.7 seconds.

Security
Standard safety features for the 2011 Cadillac CTS include antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control, side airbags for front seats, full-length side curtain airbags and GM's OnStar emergency communications.

In government crash tests, the CTS earned four out of five stars for frontal crash protection and five stars for perfect side. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests, the sedan was awarded the top rating of "good" in frontal-offset and side impact tests.

In braking tests, the CTS 3.6 Premium with FE2 suspension and tires of the season came to a stop from 60 mph in 117 feet, which is very good for a luxury sedan. With 19-inch wheels and summer tires, this distance is reduced to an impressive 109 feet.

Interior Design and Special Features

Inside, the 2011 Cadillac CTS has a nice powerful theme at the height of his nervousness out. Soft-touch materials abound, highlighted by tasteful woodwork. The optional navigation system shows the top of the dashboard and retreats almost entirely, leaving a small piece visible as a touch screen for audio system - an ingenious and elegant alternative to having a separate control panel.

Unfortunately, the interior also comes with its fair share of mistakes. Many find the driving position awkward because of the slightly offset pedals and knee space compromised by scanning the center console. Rear visibility is particularly poor, forcing drivers to rely on the camera option when reversing maneuvers in the opposite direction.

Hamper the overall level comfort and stiff backs and rear seat passengers the price even more because of the low roof line. Luggage space is decent, but the narrow opening requires a bit 'of pushing, to accommodate bulky items. Golf clubs will not fit in width, and eating space, since they must be placed diagonally.

Guide

2011 Cadillac CTS tracks through the curves of a lot more athletic than you might expect. The steering is precise and well weighted, the CTS Competitive its European competitors. However, driving performance comes at the expense of ride comfort. They expect the lap of luxury Cadillacs of the past are likely to find Fe2 Performance suspension too stiff to cut designs to their tastes. Fe3 even stiffer sport suspension, then it would probably be too hard and unforgiving for most people.

Power base 3.0-liter V6 is slow compared to the 3.6-liter engine with broad shoulders. Since both engines achieve almost identical fuel consumption, we recommend springing a V6 engine larger if your budget allows.
