The CX and CXL trim, a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder with 182 HP and 172 lb-ft of torque is standard motor. Optional is a 3.6-liter V6 that churns 280 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. The CXL is available in front-wheel drive or traction - a plus for those in snowy climates. The CXS is only available with front-wheel drive and comes with a V6, as the CXL AWD. All LaCrosse models have a six-speed automatic transmission.

In our tests instrumented with a stock 3.6-liter engine to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds - faster with honor, but still over a second slower than a few rivals as the Acura TL and Hyundai Genesis. The EPA estimated fuel economy was 19 mpg city/30 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined for the four-cylinder LaCrosse and 17/27/20 for the V6. The rate of AWD 16/26/20.

Security

Rear-seat side airbags are also available as an option. In tests the brakes Edmunds, LaCrosse CXS stopped 60 mph 127 feet - slightly longer than the average.

LaCrosse is not designed for the use of the new government, the staunchest 2011 Crash Test Mode According to the 2010 votes (which are not directly comparable with the new ones) LaCrosse scored five (five) stars in all frontal and side impact tests. At the Insurance Institute for Road Safety tests, the Buick scored "good" (the highest), the agency front-offset and side impact tests.

Interior Design and Special Features

2011 Buick LaCrosse interior is sleek and contemporary. The front seats are surrounded by an arc extending from the edge of door to door accents, elegant, beautifully built and simulated wood contribute to the feeling decidedly higher level. At night, passengers are bathed in soft light blue lighting environment. The controls on the center console are certainly more complicated than the simple commands that are in the Buick past, but the operation of audio, air conditioning and navigation systems should be easy enough to decipher those used for most Modern cars and electronics.

Despite the generous interior, load capacity measures just 13 cubic feet, far less than rival sedans frames. The body is deep enough, but lack of height and width can be problematic for large objects.

Driving Impressions

The driver's seat 2011 Buick LaCrosse has a fun mix of luxury and commitment. The cabin remains blissfully calm the senses without the chamber of repression, because there is no wind, just enough road noise to remind you that did not sit on the couch. Taking into account all the Buick dispatch of the past, treatment of the LaCrosse is the ability to surprise. Confident in the car reacts, and is certainly more interesting to drive than the Lexus ES 350 Rear visibility, however, compromising the car high hat rack and thick roof pillars.

How powerful, 3.6-liter V6 is the obvious choice. We were separated from the four-cylinder engine, because it is extremely important that the weight of the car and have to work so much that the real world gas mileage is likely to suffer.
