American Suzuki Motor Corporation (ASMC) today announced a turbocharged version of the Kizashi concept sports sedan for the 2011 New York International Auto Show (NYIAS). Turbo Suzuki Kizashi Concept Apex introduces your Suzuki Automotive Division and its championship winning bike.

More power under the hood
Suzuki Kizashi Concept Apex is equipped with a Garrett turbocharger, an intercooler air-liquid, electronic control of boost and a calibration specific engine control module to provide excellent handling characteristics. The system supports peak output of 275 to 300 Kizashi power range, with a maximum boost of 8.5 psi. This powerplant is adapted exclusively to a six-speed manual transmission. Specific components of the system are:
* Garrett / Honeywell 2871 ball bearing turbocharger R
* Internally wastegate 0.86 A / R turbine housing
* Oil and water cooled bearing system
* Launch of turbine casing of high-nickel "Ni-Resist" material for extreme applications
