To deliver this performance, engineers have updated the suspension innovative concepts from earlier models, to develop new designs optimized for the "control blade 'multi-link rear suspension and semi-isolated front and rear cradles.

Platform design is complemented by a brand new Electric Assist Control, which has been carefully tuned to produce cleanly and accurately at high speeds, while remaining lightweight and easy to deal with parking.

Ford Europe driving dynamics specialists have also improved cornering stability and flexibility with the introduction of an advanced dynamic control of the turn using "torque vectoring" technical transfer of power between the drive wheels to offer less understeer, better traction and better turn-in.

All customers around the world enjoy the same quality of dynamic performance of the new Focus. Same chassis and suspension architecture is used for all markets, except for small differences in locale, such as local tire specifications.
