In an attempt to generate customer traffic and excitement beyond the Javelin and AMX models and capitalize on the growing market for small muscle cars, modified Hurst launched AMC SC / Rambler in 1969. The company was a watershed year in which the AMC has tried to withdraw was the "old guard Rambler" and inaugurate a new era of AMC models lableled only. The Hornets hit series will replace the U.S. model next year and the rebirth of a famous name or model of the old Hudson day would come the end of the line of the venerable American series. What better way to remove the player from leaving age with one last cheer the team captain whims?

Although some argue that the chassis LC train is different from other Americans '69 it is commonly accepted that there was no significant difference apart from the additional period amounts necessary to connect the links of the pair of AMC AMX and spears performance equipment for Rogue-based frame.

Fortunately, all Americans 68 and took an extra layer of skin into the lower panels to set, just in time for the couple acccomodate dramatic increase in the AMC 390 has become the driving force behind the creation of the performance capabilities Legendary SC / Rambler! There is documented evidence that the chassis is more rigid SC otherwise the mounting plates for the relationship and the impact plate compensation in access on the left side of the trunk, although some sources indicate that the SC uses additional reinforcements are used for the convertible models to increase structural rigidity.

A possible distinction was remarkable - there was only one factory option avaialbe, radio AM! That's it - there were no other options to the factory. All other options are available as dealer options and was mainly limited to the options list with the Group 19 elements such as a 290 hydraulic camshaft, heavy lifting and dual valve springs, Mallory dual point of reefs distributor coil, AMC logo'd Edlebrock intake manifold and a Holley 930 CFM R4B three Barell Carburetor with a huge vacuum controlled secondary necessary step-out is seen today in the back of the opening of the carburetor vintage AMC R4B collectors. Company memos proof that there was no options than AM radio, and all the performance improvements have been ordered by the dealer. And they were ordered, with most of the SC / Ramblers upgraded for racing and terrorize class F at local drag strips across the country.
